ABOUT
ME
Get to know me:

I am a fashion design and garment graduate, attaining a first class honours degree through Open University accredited degree at York College.
Through my studies I have developed my CAD, design and technical skills, which will aid my progression into a role within the industry.

I have conducted a variety of industry placements including styling and dressing during York Fashion weeks shows and a work placement at Olerbar Brown; which has taught me important industry knowledge and an insight into traditional design and garment technology practises- as well as assisting with studio duties.
Alongside this, I am currently a content and editorial assistant for North East based magazine Sunday Girl; in which I assist with content creation and the planning/ research into editorial shoots and features.
Alongside researching and creating garment designs (including detailed working drawings); I have developed an in-depth understanding of garment technology- including 3D pattern cutting using Gerber software and costing and size charts. By having this understanding, I am able to create more technically informed designs; which will improve the functionality of the garment. Within my studies I have developed an understanding of sustainable practises, market level research and print development.
